Dear Students, Parents, and Voters of District 230,
I am honored to announce my candidacy for the District 230 School Board in the upcoming local election on April 1st.
Having grown up in Orland and graduated from Sandburg, I believe there is no greater opportunity to give back to the community that shaped me than by serving on the Board. The knowledge and experiences I gained at Sandburg were instrumental in my success—both as a champion athlete during my youth and as a business owner today. I believe every student, both today and in the future, deserves the same, if not greater, opportunities and experiences that I was fortunate to have.
During my teenage years and early twenties, I had the privilege of competing for Team USA as a runner and triathlete around the world. This experience exposed me to a wide range of cultures and forms of government, further strengthening my belief that our system—government by the people, for the people—remains the greatest form of self-governance. I am committed to upholding this constitutional principle in our high school classrooms, remaining accountable to the students, staff, and taxpayers.
Managing a logistics consulting business, I see the evolving career landscape future generations will face. The rise of artificial intelligence puts many traditional career paths at risk, but it also presents a generational opportunity. Our students deserve to be at the forefront of this technological disruption, preparing them for high-value careers in the future.
I am proud to be part of the 'Inspire 230' slate alongside Tim Danlow and Mike Martinez—both accomplished business owners, parents of students in the district, and mentors to me.
